"Good teachers who actually know their stuff"
I’ve had a good experience with UVU overall. Most of the professors in my program really seem to know what they’re talking about, and a few have real industry experience, which definitely makes the classes feel more useful. Some lectures can be kinda dry, and not every teacher’s easy to get ahold of, but for the most part, the faculty’s been solid. I’d give it 4 stars.
"Good teachers, but some classes move too fast"
i mean, most of the teachers do a good job explaining things clearly, which I really appreciate. But a few classes feel a bit rushed sometimes, so it can be hard to keep up or fully understand everything before moving on.

"Flexible Classes Make It Work"
Not gonna lie, I’ve had a really good experience with uvu so far. The flexible class times have made a huge difference for me since I work part time. It’s been doable to find evening or online classes that fit my schedule. Not every option is perfect, but there are enough choices that I don’t feel stuck.

"I kind of regret not looking into…"
I kind of regret not looking into the facilities more before going. They felt outdated, and it made the whole experience a bit less comfortable than I was hoping for.

"Pretty meh overall"
The jobs were just kind of meh. It felt like every listing was basically the same thing with different wording, and none of them really stood out. Maybe it works for some people, but for me it was all underwhelming.

"Quick Help When I Needed It"
I have a high standard when it comes to getting support, especially with something as important as FAFSA, and they met it. They responded fast, understood the issue, and got it fixed without making the whole process stressful.
"The online classes were mostly fine overall…"
The online classes were mostly fine overall, but I did get a little worn out dealing with the setup. Some pages were confusing to navigate, and a few lectures took longer than expected to load. The teachers did respond when I had questions, just not always quickly. It can definitely work if you stay organized, but after using so many online tools already, I really wish the whole experience felt smoother and less like another thing to manage.
"Decent Classes, Pricey Tuition"
The classes are okay overall, but the tuition still feels a bit too high for what you actually get lol.

"Clear explanations"
I felt kind of trapped going into it, like I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do or how to get out of the confusion. But they explained everything clearly, which made it a lot easier to follow.

"A really chill campus vibe"
The campus just has a really relaxed, friendly feel to it. It’s the kind of place where you can easily hang around between classes, grab a coffee, or sit outside for a bit without feeling rushed. Even the little things, like how easy it is to find a quiet spot or bump into people you know, make it feel comfortable.
"Nice Advisors, But Slow Support"
The advisors I spoke with were friendly, which I appreciated, but actually getting the help I needed took way too long. Compared to other places I’ve dealt with, the response time felt a lot slower than expected.

"Tech has been dependable for me"
I’ve been happy with uvu’s tech setup. The Wi-Fi has worked well in most places I’ve needed it, and the computer labs are super convenient when I don’t feel like bringing my laptop. Canvas and the student portal took a little getting used to, but they’re easy enough once you know where everything is. I also had to contact the help desk after getting locked out, and they were actually really nice and helpful. Overall, it’s been solid and I don’t really have any major complaints.

"Pretty practical classes 👍"
I’ve found the classes to be practical overall, which I really appreciate. The teachers mostly seem to know their stuff and explain things in a way that’s easy enough to follow 🙂

"Admissions ended up being way less stressful than I expected"
I applied to UVU i was expecting the admissions process to be a lot more confusing than it was. The website was easy to follow, and I got updates at the right times without having to chase anything down. I did have one question, and someone got back to me faster than I expected. Reading between the lines, it felt like they actually thought through what students might be nervous about and made the process simple. Overall, it was smooth and not nearly as stressful as I had built it up to be.

"Career help that was actually useful"
I went to uvu career services to get some help with my resume, and prep for an interview, it was way more helpful than I expected. The person I met with was really chill, didn’t make it awkward, and gave me better answers than I thought I’d get. Definitely glad I went.

"Easy to Fit Classes Into My Schedule"
I was able to find classes that worked with my job schedule easily, which was a big plus. Compared to a few other places I looked at, this felt way more flexible and less of a hassle to plan around...

"Pretty chill, but you have to make the effort"
uvu student life is laid-back, which I like sometimes, but it really depends on how much you put yourself out there. There are clubs and events going on, and some of them are actually fun, but campus can also feel kind of quiet, especially if you’re commuting. Like, a lot of people just show up for class and then leave right after. The food is decent, nothing amazing but not terrible, and parking is annoying pretty much all the time. Making friends is possible, but you definitely have to try a little. Overall it’s not a bad experience, it’s just not the most exciting campus vibe either.

"Parking was surprisingly easy"
I didn’t have any trouble finding parking when I visited UVU . The lots were open , and the signs made everything easy to figure out . It felt way less stressful than dealing with parking at other campuses

"Nighttime Safety Needs Work"
I don’t feel super comfortable walking around campus at night. It just feels like there should be better lighting or more visible security around. During the day it’s fine, but after dark it feels a bit sketchy, and that’s definitely something they NEED to improve

"Pretty solid overall, though I felt brushed off sometimes"
I had a mostly good experience with UVU housing. Move-in was easy, and the place was clean when I got there, which was a nice relief. Being close to campus made mornings way less stressful too. Most of the time, when I had a question, someone got back to me quickly, but there were a couple times where I felt kind of dismissed, like my concern wasn’t really being taken seriously. It wasn’t a huge deal in the end, but it did stick with me a bit. Not perfect, but overall it was a solid experience.
